After a night in Nairobi to relax depart late morning on safari to Amboseli. This safari covers the shimmering plains of Amboseli and then continues Tsavo West and Taita Hills. Here you will certainly see some great herds of elephant and antelope before continuing to Mombasa’s spectacular coast with its beautiful white sandy beaches. This scheduled weekly small group trip is guaranteed for a minimum of 2 clients.

Day 1

Upon arrival in Nairobi, you will be met and transferred to the Eka hotel. Afternoon at leisure. Overnight at the hotel in a superior room on a bed and breakfast basis. (Check in time is 1400hrs approx) Eka hotel A contemporary style hotel that provides all the comfort, convenience and efficiency to the discerning traveler, Eka Hotel is ideally located along Mombasa road in Nairobi the capital city of Kenya, it is an ideal business cum leisure hotel, close to the International and domestic Airports as well as the city Centre. The hotel offers tastefully decorated rooms, two restaurants, bar, conference facilities, swimming pool and a host of other facilities.

Day 2

After a leisurely breakfast, depart Nairobi with a picnic lunch and head south east towards Amboseli. On arrival, there is game viewing en route to the lodge, arriving just before sunset. Overnight at Amboseli Serena Safari Lodge on a full board basis. OLTukai Lodge is set against the magnificent backdrop of Africa’s highest mountain (5895m/19,340ft asl), the glittering Mount Kilimanjaro, the lodge enjoys a uniquely privileged position at the heart of this world-famous national park. Secluded within a grove of acacia trees, the lodge looks out over the golden savannah plains, with uninterrupted views of the mountain itself weather permitting. Close by are a series of emerald green swamps, which are fed by the melting snows of Kilimanjaro. As the only sources of water in the park, this attracts huge numbers of wallowing elephants, hippos, buffalos and plains game. Meanwhile, from the prehistoric site of Observation Hill, the sunset over Kilimanjaro is truly magnificent. At the centre of ‘Maasailand’, the lodge’s décor reflects the brilliant primary colours and iconic shapes representative of these legendary warriors. At the heart of the lodge, shaded by acacia trees, is a free form swimming pool overlooking the bar area. Activities include daily game drives in custom-built traditional safari vehicles, ‘sundowners’ on Observation Hill, bush breakfasts, bush dinners, Masai dance performances, visits to Masai villages and tree-planting programmes.

Day 3

Enjoy an early morning game drive, returning for breakfast, the rest of the morning is at leisure, lunch at the lodge. Deapart to Tsavo West. The journey takes you east, across the spectacular Shetani lava flow, a reminder of the molten outpouring that spilled down the scenic slopes of the nearby Chyulu Hills over the last three centuries. A zig-zagging road through scrub thorn and acacia leads you into Tsavo National Park, which together (East and West) form the largest of Kenya’s parks. Arrive with game-viewing en route to your lodge by arrive at your lodge by sunset. Overnight at Kilaguni Serena Safari Lodge on a full board basis. Kilaguni Serena Safari Lodge Superbly situated in the lee of Mount Kilimanjaro and sheltered by the volcanic splendour of the Chyulu Hills, this classic stone-built lodge overlooks its own water hole, which is visited daily by elephants, buffalos and a wide variety of plains game. One of the first lodges ever to be built in a national park, the lodge is cool, tranquil and hushed for optimum game-viewing. It is also ideally placed for visits to all the park’s prime attractions. Faced in volcanic stone and utilising the natural rocky outcrops of a valley known as ‘The place of the young rhino’, from which it takes its name, the lodge features a thatched central dining area and a rock-built bar, with a viewing terrace looking directly down on to the waterhole. All the spacious en-suite rooms have their own verandas, some overlooking the waterhole, some the Chyulu Hills, which are one of the world’s youngest volcanic ranges. As for activities, the lodge offers numerous game drives, guided walks, bush breakfasts, volcano climbs and trips to Mzima Springs, a set of crystal-clear ponds, fed by the melt waters of Mount Kilimanjaro, in which the many hippos can be viewed from a submerged chamber.

Day 4

This morning enjoy a game drive in the park, including a visit to Mzima Springs with its underwater viewing holes. After lunch continue to Taita Hills Game Sanctuary and have the afternoon at leisure, viewing game from lodge’s underground hide or from the lodge balconies. Overnight at Sarova Saltlick Game Lodge on full board basis. Salt Lick Lodge is located in the heart of a private Wildlife Sanctuary which lies adjacent to Tsavo National Park, therefore playing an increasingly important role in the protection and conservation of Kenya’s wildlife heritage. The entire lodge is raised on stilts, providing 24-hour game viewing opportunities from any corner of the lodge. The rooms are built in two storey blocks from a central pod and linked together by elevated platforms – overlooking a salt slick and small waterhole. Each room is spacious and beautifully appointed, featuring exquisite ethnic décor in keeping with the Tsavo environment Rooms are spacious and have all the necessary modern conveniences. The restaurant, bar and main balconies have views over the water hole and salt lick, which is constantly in use by local park residents. There is also an underground hide for closer encounters.

Day 5

After breakfast, depart on a morning game drive in Taita Hills Game Sanctuary. After lunch continue to Mombasa, arriving in the late afternoon your North or South Coast beach hotel.                 End of Services.
