11 DAYS KEDEVRIES COMFORT SAFARI

Day 1

Upon arrival into Nairobi, clients will be met and transferred to the Four Points Sheraton hotel where you will spend the night on a bed and breakfast basis in a standard room. Afternoon at leisure. (Check in time 14:00). Depending on time of arrival clients may choose to do an optional excursion Our representative will find you at the hotel for a pre safari briefing and departure timings for next day.

Four Point Sheraton Hotel is ideally located just 5 minutes’ drive within the airport. Very ideal for clients who would like being away from the busy city centre and traffic jam.

Day 2

After breakfast and drive north past the Aberdare Mountain range forest arriving at a town of Nanyuki for a stopover at the equator. Short drive to the Ol Pajeta Conservancy. Check in at the Sweetwarers Serena Camp. After lunch. Start your afternoon game drive with a visit to the Chimpanzee Sancturay, then game en route to see the resident Il Moran rhino before returning to the camp for dinner and overnight at the camp. Drive time form Nairobi approx: 5 hours.

Sweetwaters Serena Camp is within Mount Kenya area on a plain rolling over to Laikipia plateau. Situated in a private Ol Pajeta conservancy, it is a 4star camp with water hole in front where animals and birds intermingle for a drink. All rooms overlook the waterhole.

Day 3

After an early breakfast, depart heading towards Nyahururu with a photo stop at Thomson Falls before descending into the Rift Valley. Arrive in Lake Nakuru national parl. Arrive with game viewing en route to Sarova Lion Hill Camp. After lunch enjoy an afternoon game drive returning to the lodge as the sun sets. The national park, known for its birdlife, offers a possibility to view flamingoes. It is also home to Black and White rhinos as well as the endangered Rothschild Giraffe. Overnight at Sarova Lion Hill Camp on fullboard basis. Drive time approx: 4.5 hours.

Sarova Lion Hill Camp is overlooking the lake with open panorama of the flamingoes and other waterbirds. Set on a hill side it allows viewing of the sunset and other animals below. Nakuru park which achieved international fame as an ornithological. Both black and white rhino are being given a new lease of life in this 188 sq km, fully-fenced park – and they are carefully protected. The rare Rothschild giraffe, buffalo, leopard, zebra, eland, waterbuck and lion.

Day 4

After an early morning breakfast, drive north to Lake Bogoria and check in at Bogoria Spa. After lunch enjoy afternoon game drive along the lake also with teeming populations of flamingoes. Hotsprings and geysers can be a reason for a pause as other wildlife also roan the conservancy. Lake Overnight at Lake Bogoria Spa on a full board basis. Drive time approx: 4 hours.

Day 5

After breakfast depart to Eldoret town, arrive for lunch at Eka Hotel. Afternoon visit Saiwa Swanp national Park, one of Kenya’s small parks to look for the rare sitatunga antelope, only endemic here. Dinner and overnight at Eka Hotel.

Day 6

After breakfast depart the Kakamega Forest arriving approximately by 1300 hours. You will check in at the missionary Rondo Retreat Centre. After lunch enjoy leisure time. May opt to do activities like bird watching or nature walks through the dense protected forest. Some primates may be spotted as vervet monkeys among others. Drive time approx: 5.5 hours.  At the mission centre there is no sale of alcohol so you may make early arrangements to pack and arrive with your drink in your luggage.

Day 7

Depart after breakfast for the second largest fresh water lake in the world, Lake Victoria, arriving at Kisumu city. Check in at Imperial Express Hotel. After lunch do a city tour of Kisumu or optionally relax at your hotel. Dinner and overnight at same hotel.

Day 8

After breakfast, visit Ndere Island. Enjoy birdlife and boat ride. Return to Kisumu for lunch and depart for Lake Simbi Nyaima en route to Homa Bay town. Check in at Cold Springs Hotel.

Day 9

After breakfast, drive to Masai Mara national reserve. Arrive for lunch at Mara Serena Lodge. Afternoon game drive. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Day 10

Enjoy both morning and afternoon game drives in the Mara home to most of the big game and wildebeest that migrate annually form Serengeti in Tanzania between July to October. Dinner and overnight at the Mara Serena Lodge.

Day 11

After breakfast depart for Nairobi through the Masai town of Narok, arriving after midday. Drop off at your hotel or airport for your onward flight arrangements.
